The First Time is Always the Hardest

I've been writing for publication long enough to know that it's always the first time that twists a writer's brain cells into a helix. So, let's just get it over with and say, "Here I am, for better or worse!" I'm sure, without the assistance of a full-time invested editor, that I will say things that make others cringe.
